Faker’s Ahri skin may finally be coming and could be most expensive yet
Faker may finally get his Ahri skin as the South Korean mid-laner is rumored to become the first League of Legends Hall of Legends inductee.
League of Legends players and T1 fans have long been waiting for Faker’s Ahri skin. With three skins (and world championships) already in his bag, many fans felt that the 2023 comeback win might be the time the LoL G.O.A.T. finally chooses Ahri for the World Champions skin.
However, many fans were surprised when Faker retracted his initial announcement of a 2023 Worlds Ahri skin and opted for an Orianna skin. If the four-time champ (and the only one to achieve such a feat, may we add) skipped Ahri on his fourth trophy, will the world ever get a T1 Ahri skin?
The prayers of League of Legends players have finally been answered, at least according to leaks from Big Bad Bear, who suggests that Faker and the nine-tailed fox may be about to get special treatment like no other as the first Hall of Legends skin in the game.
Faker could be hailed as the first Hall of Legends inductee
Faker initially suggested that he chose to cancel his Ahri skin because the Champion “already has too many skins.” As one of the most popular Champions in the game, Ahri already boasts 17 skins in her ‘wardrobe.’
But little did Faker fans know that the player has been brewing a surprise for them.
Riot Games initially announced the inauguration of the Hall of Legends, a hall of fame for the most celebrated LoL pro players in its history. And I think all LoL fans and players would agree that there is nobody as deserving as Faker as its first inductee.
The honor of being a League of Legends Hall of Famer comes with the prestige of having your own skin. And after years of being declined by Riot Games and a last-minute Champion change, Faker will finally have his Ahri skin.
The Hall of Legends skin is rumored to be far more expensive than other skins available in the game.
The most expensive skins are the Ultimate-tier skins, such as Elementalist Lux and K/DA All Out Seraphine, which cost 3,250 RP (~$25 USD). This skin tier features a new model and multiple re-skins or color themes for each skin.
It is still unknown if Hall of Legends skins will feature the exact details and extent of the Ultimate-tier skins, but many fans speculate that they could cost the same or even more.
