Clove finally gets green light for Valorant pro play after patch 8.07 bug fixes 1

Valorant’s newest agent, Clove, finally gets the green light for the Valorant Champions Tour after vital bug fixes in the game’s latest update.

Many Valorant fans and players were eager to see Clove’s debut in competitive play. Beyond their new entirely new ability mechanic that lets Clove smoke even if they’re eliminated from the round, players are excited to see how a new controller can shake up the current Viper and Omen meta.

Despite the anticipation, players needed to set aside their excitement due to some overlooked bugs and issues with Clove’s abilities, leading Riot Games to postpone the agent’s viability for pro play.

With Valorant’s most recent patch, which had twelve bug fixes dedicated to Clove’s kit, finally covering these issues, the newest Controller agent is finally cleared and ready to show their prowess in the competitive battlefield!

Valorant’s latest update includes 12 fixes for Clove’s bugs and issues

Among the most valuable hotfixes include a “speculative fix” on an issue where Clove’s corpse remains standing even after dying. While seeing an enemy’s ghost on the map seems like a comical situation, it can become quite confusing during clutch situations.

The devs admit that the patch to the issue remains speculative, so they ask players to submit a report ticket if the bug persists in their matches.

Another important patch is for the Clove mains that find themselves weaponless when using the agent’s resurrect ultimate ability. Some players have reported spawning without a primary weapon when using “Not Dead Yet,” which renders the ability somewhat useless.

Other bug fixes include patches on Match Reports and Combat Details regarding Clove’s abilities and “flickering vision” when other players move in and out of Clove’s smokes.

Clove will debut on all official Valorant competitive tournaments on the third week of VCT Regional Stage 1 tournaments.
