There are 11 teams set to compete in this year’s competition to raise the international trophy at VCT Masters. This year, VCT EMEA Ascensions 2023 winner Gentle Mates is ready to show the higher tier all that they’ve got and all their might.
Many fans are eager to see if Fnatic continues to dominate the region after their impressive feat last year. Meanwhile, many also await for redemption as the former VCT Masters roster of FunPlus Phoenix regrouped under Natus Vincere.

VCT EMEA Kickoff 2023 Format
Valorant Esports announced a new format for the 2024 season, with mixed reactions of organizations and its fans. This season, fortune favors the bold as the Kickoff decides which teams compete in Masters Madrid. Less favored teams are to put it all on the line as lowest-ranked teams can see no more than 12 games this season.
VCT EMEA Kickoff opens with a group stage of four, with last year’s VCT Masters Fnatic receiving a bye to the second round. The top teams of each round go straight to playoffs, while the second and third teams battle in a play-in format.
