Tencent announces $5 million prize pool for PUBG Mobile esports in 2020

Tencent will continue to heavily invest into mobile esports following the success of the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 Fall Split Global Finals.

Teams competing in 2020 PUBG Mobile competitive seasons will be competing for a part of a $5 million prize pool as the league structure is set to significantly expand next year. Tencent has made a concerted effort to build and develop an ecosystem that represents opportunities for players of all skill levels.

The Campus Championship will be an entry-level competitive tier that is suitable for amateur players. Players and teams can advance to the PUBG Mobile Club Open and Pro League in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia.

The best teams will then move forward to the Regional Pro League and World League. Teams who experience success at the Regional Pro League and World League can be invited to the PUBG Mobile World Championship 2020.

Tencent revealed that the overall prize pool for PUBG Mobile Esports in 2020 will be more than $5 million.
