Genshin Impact leaker gives first glimpse at Shenhe, Ganyu & Xingqiu outfits 1

Genshin Impact fans now have a glimpse of what Shenhe, Ganyu, and Xingqiu’s upcoming outfits look like in-game.

A leaker named Dimbreath recently posted videos showcasing the three characters’ outfits in action in the game’s character menu and during gameplay. It is worth remembering that these outfits are only available once Genshin Impact’s 4.4 update drops on January 31 to celebrate this game’s annual Lantern Rite Festival, which coincides with Chinese New Year.

Shenhe’s outfit flows similarly to Ningguang’s Orchid’s Evening Gown, the outfit Hoyoverse added as a reward for completing the second Lantern Rite Festival. While it does make her look more mature, Shenhe’s ice clone doesn’t sport a similar look to the new outfit. However, it may be a design choice on HoYoverse’s part.

Meanwhile, Ganyu’s outfit is more akin to Furina’s in that the skirts hanging behind them flow freely and do not impede their wearer’s movements regardless of what they’re doing. Lastly, Xingqiu’s outfit looks almost the same as his default outfit. However, many Genshin Impact fans noticed several of its design elements are similar to those of Furina’s default outfit.

Unfortunately, Shenhe, Ganyu, and Xingqiu’s outfits are only cosmetic and don’t add anything else, unlike Diluc’s Red Dead of Night outfit, which adds new audio lines whenever equipped. While it’s unknown why HoYoverse didn’t add new audio lines for these outfits, it’s worth speculating that it may be due to the rarity of these outfits.

Currently, Diluc’s Red Dead of Night is the only five-star outfit available in-game, which changes some animations and adds alternate voice lines for certain attacks and situations. Aside from Diluc’s, all of the outfits, whether bought in the in-game shop or acquired as a reward in events, are only four-star outfits that are cosmetic.

As such, Shenhe, Ganyu, and Xingqiu’s outfits are likely only four-star cosmetic-only outfits, given what Dimbreath showcased in their videos. Although only time will tell if HoYoverse plans to add more five-star outfits soon, fans are nonetheless happy with the skins HoYoverse plans to release, albeit with some reservations.

Many Genshin Impact fans are pleased with how Shenhe and Ganyu’s outfits look, calling them pretty and worth the money they intend to spend. Ganyu’s hair accessory also gets attention as it alters Ganyu’s hairstyle to accommodate it.

Xingqiu’s skin makes him look dapper in the eyes of many fans. However, many fans on the r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit are calling it way too similar to Furina’s or his default outfit. As such, Xingqiu’s new outfit doesn’t bring anything new to the table – something that many fans don’t like about the outfit.

As HoYoverse mentioned, fans can get Xingqiu’s outfit for participating and completing the activities in the Lantern Rite Festival. Meanwhile, players can only get Shenhe and Ganyu‘s outfits by buying them in the in-game store for 1,350 each during the discount period and 1,680 when the period ends, much like Keqing’s before them.
