The co-op shooter, from Focus Home Interactive and Saber Interactive, was inspired by the film of the same name from Paramount Pictures. According to the official website, the swarm of zombies is incapable of feeling fear, nor showing mercy. It exists only to consume and spread. Players and their comrades must cheat death by making a stand and unleashing an arsenal of weapons upon the swarms of undead. Against overwhelming odds, players must cut the undead down.
Players must survive against hundreds of quick, bloodthirsty zombies. Six distinct classes and an arsenal of deadly weapons, explosives, turrets, and traps are available to help players stay alive. They must survive wave after wave of the dead throughout intense four-player co-op campaign missions, and battle both zombies and real human opponents in competitive, team-based Players vs. Players vs. Zombies (PvPvZ) multiplayer mode.
