Battle Royale RPG hybrid Hunter’s Arena: Legends launched its second closed beta testing phase. The second closed beta test will run through April 26, 2020, with dedicated servers in Asia, Europe, and the USA. The game will launch to Steam Early Access in the Summer of 2020.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends sends 60 players against each other in combat, hoping to become the lone survivor. Studio Mantisco says, the game is violent and is for mature audiences only. Players can experience various MMORPG features like dungeons and raids, and a MOBA-style progression system within the battle royale mode. The game encourages players to use the MMO features so that they may better succeed in the battle royale.
In Hunter’s Arena: Legends, fighters are sent to an enchanted realm where many players enter, and only one may leave. Landscapes in the game feature snowy mountains, dense forest, and lava fields. According to the developer, the semi-realistic terrain changes how players craft their battle strategies, and special dungeons allow players the opportunity to work with others to earn powerful rewards in fights with boss monsters.
Korean studio Mantisco saw the number of applicants for this second beta test double compared to the first. Yoon Junghyun, the founder of Mantisco, says, “With Early Access just around the corner, we have worked hard to improve on players’ feedback regarding the first beta. In addition to that, we have further refined the graphics and optimization.”
Those who play the battle royale mode ten times or more times during this second closed beta will receive an exclusive skin for Aiden and Ara when the game launches on Steam Early Access.
