PSG.LGD has announced that Wang “Ame” Chunyu has moved to CDEC and Lai ‘AhJit’ Jieshan has taken his place. The swap happened due to personal wishes and for team development.

Ame is a phenomenal player who is one of the best carry players in the world. He has won three premier tournaments including the Mars Dota 2 League 2017, EPICENTER XL and MDL Changsha Major. And he finished in fourth place at TI 7, second place at the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018, third place at the China Dota2 Supermajor, second place at The International 2018 and third place at The International 2019. Overall, he has racked up more than $2,218,527 in prize money and has played an important role in PSG.LGD’s success in recent years.
The professional scene is shocked by the move. But it’s not the first time a star player has moved on in a shock announcement. And it won’t be the last. The stakes are high and the pressure is constant. Sometimes a change in scenery is best for both a player and an organization.
Lai ‘AhJit’ Jieshan is his replacement. And he’s certainly no slouch. A decorated carry in his own right, AhJit has been a constant performer in the SEA region for teams like Fnatic, Tigers, and Mineski. And more recently, he has been playing in China for CDEC. AhJit has won several small tournaments. But he is best known for his performances at DreamLeague Season 10 and ESL One Mumbai 2019, where he finished first and second.
Time will tell whether PSG.LGD will be better or worse with the change. But it seems like it was necessary since the player wanted to move on. AhJit will make his debut for the team at the China Dota2 Professional League Season 1 on February 27.
