With their former roster leaving to join 100 Thieves at the end of October, Renegades have decided to move fast in picking up a new team to represent the organization, signing the Oceanic roster of Grayhound Gaming.
The former Grayhound team had previously qualified for the ESL Pro League Finals and has been picking up wins in their own region regularly, however in the most recent major, Starladder Berlin 2019 in August, they were knocked out in the group stage after going 1-3 and finishing in 17th-19th place.
The roster is still stacked with talent and has recently made changes bringing in INS from ORDER in September to replace Erkast who left the team due to Visa issues.
The core of the roster is Australian with Malta, INS, Dexter, and DickStacy all being from the country, whilst Sico hails from nearby New Zealand. When asked an interview with HLTV about whether the team will remain in Oceania or move to North America, DickStacy replied: “We’ll be staying in Oceania; I feel like it’s just not in our interest to move overseas.”

The team faced a baptism of fire in their first game under the Renegades banner, coming up against Astralis who defeated them 16-8 on Inferno, however, the team did pull back a reasonable score after going down in the first half 12-3.
Renegades are set to face Brazillian and Argentinian team Sharks in their second ESL Pro League match, as they will attempt to pull their score to level after the defeat to Astralis.
