Na'vi look to move on from GuardiaN 1

The CIS organization looks to be making moves to replace the Slovakian awper only four months after signing him from Faze Clan.

Na’vi have undergone several roster changes in the past year with Ioann ‘Edward’ Sukhariev first leaving the team to be replaced by Kirill ‘Boombl4’ Mikhailov, followed by the retirement of legendary Ukrainian IGL Danylo ‘Zeus’ Teslenko. After Zeus’ retirement, the team looked to bring in an awper and have superstar Aleksandr ‘S1mple’ Kostyliev move back to rifling after spending recent times as the primary awp player of the squad.

In September, Ladislav ‘GuardiaN’ Kovács was brought onto the squad as the new primary awper, having previously spent nearly four years on the team from 2013 to 2017 before signing for Faze Clan as part of the huge name roster that came second at the Boston Major in 2018. Following a number of declining performances and roster changes in Faze Clan, GuardiaN rejoined the Yellow and Black of Na’vi. After only four months, however, it seems the org is ready to move on after a string of poor performances both for himself and the squad as a whole.

One of the biggest names tipped to join the squad is Evgeny ‘FL1T’ Lebedev, the 19-year-old rifler of fellow CIS organization forZe, who has impressed since joining the team in October 2018. ForZe confirmed an inquiry had been put in by Na’vi for FL1T; however they have also confirmed no offer had been put down and that “There was no pressure from us or from the Na`Vi management.”

This move now seems unlikely with the org also confirming the player is happy with the org stating that “We also spoke to FL1T and it became clear to all of us that he has decided to stay with us.”

Where Na’vi goes from here is yet to be seen; however, it looks more and more likely that the departure of Guardian is to be expected sooner rather than later.
