Respawn has announced the dates of the Apex Legends The Old Ways. The upcoming lore event will take place from April 7, 2020, through April 21, 2020. In The Old Ways, Bloodhound, one of the legendary game hunters of the Frontier, will receive their own Town Takeover on World’s Edge.
Players will be able to battle Prowlers for a chance to win high-tier loot. Those who complete daily challenges during The Old Ways will have exclusive cosmetics available to them. Even more themed items will be made available through the Direct Purchase Shop.
The following activities will be available for players to partake in during Apex Legends The Old Ways:
- Beginning April 7, 2020, Duos and Trios will be permanently added to the game, along with a permanent map rotation that allows players to play Duos or Trios on World’s Edge and King’s Canyon.
- The Bloodhound’s Trials takes place in an enclosed area in the northwest portion of World’s Edge. Teams can take on a hoard of prowlers, all while attempting to watch out for other Legends scavenging goods for themselves. Those who take on the prowlers may clam high-tier loot as a reward. Respawn says that exploring the enclosure with a special hunter will produce favorable results.
- There will be an exclusive The Old Ways event prize track where players can earn up to 1000 points per challenge. The challenge set will refresh at a daily rate. Available rewards were inspired by the latest Stories from the Outlands: The Old Ways digital short.
- Exclusive rare and legendary skins that were inspired by the themes and aesthetics of the digital short will be available in the Direct Purchase Shop. All 8 Legendary Hunt Skins will return and be available for direct purchase. Also, two recolored variants of the R-301 and Wraith can be purchased. Previously these were exclusive to battle pass owners.
