Apex Legends Season 6 is not far away. People have been speculating that a new map was in the works, but it looks like we’ll be getting a revamped one instead.
Apex Legends has been a hot topic in recent weeks. Season 6 launches in four days, and we already know all the bits and pieces that will be available when it drops.
However, that hasn’t stopped people from speculating about what might come down the track. The idea that a new map was in the works gained a lot of traction. It reached a point where players convinced themselves it was happening.
Players thought a new map was coming
The speculation started back in Season 5 after players completed The Broken Ghost quest. Near the end of the mission, Lifeline and Octane have a brief conversation about a city called Olympus. It’s located on a planet called Psamathe, which also happens to be Lifeline and Octane’s home.

If that wasn’t enough, the city also briefly appeared in an Apex Legend’s Stories from the Outlands episode titled “Legacy of a Thief.” It’s a futuristic, cyber-punk themed city floating in the clouds, and it looks incredible.
Respawn neither confirmed nor denied whether or not the speculation was correct, which only added more fuel to the fire. However, the flame has finally been extinguished, at least in the short term.
Email reveals “revamped map”
Respawn sent out a promotional email ahead of Season 6’s launch. It mentioned that players would have a chance to explore a “revamped map” along with previously confirmed features including crafting and the Volt SMG.

Unfortunately, it more or less confirms that a new map is out of the picture for the time being. Still, a revamped map is exciting news, and something players will undoubtedly welcome with open arms once their initial disappointment subsides.
“Olympus” could still happen, but not this season
Respawn never said a new map was coming in Season 6, but there’s still a chance it could happen sometime later. After all, it has been teased and alluded to multiple times. So, there might be some truth to it, but we won’t know any more details for the time being.
Until then, there’s a whole new season to enjoy, and with a revamped map in the mix, it’s another reason to hop back on Apex Legends and step into the battlefield.
