Teams Competing for VCT Pacific 2024
A total of 11 teams are set to compete in Seoul, South Korea, for a chance to bring home greater prestige in VCT Masters Madrid. Esports fans are eager to see dominance from VCT Champions 2023 first runners-up DRX, while others are excited to witness Pacific’s fan-favorite Paper Rex.
Meanwhile, it’s not the Asia-Pacific region that awaits the S-tier debut of VCT Ascensions 2023 winner Bleed Esports, as they acquire former Gamer of The Year, Jacob “yay” Whittaker. This is yay’s first VCT appearance after missing most of the 2023 season since he parted ways with VCT America’s Cloud9.

VCT Pacific 2023 Format
Many pro players and coaches took to social media to express the pressure of the new VCT format. This year, only the kickoffs will determine who will get to represent the region in Madrid for VCT Masters 2024. Meaning, lowest ranked teams may see no more than 12 games throughout the season.
This only means that fans can expect a higher level of gameplay with all players eager to obtain higher seeds in both Masters and Champions.
The tournament starts with a double-elimination group stage with four teams each (one three-team group with former regional champion PaperRex). Winners of the group stage will have a spot straight to the play-offs.
