Slasher rules out platform change as reason for DrDisrespect’s ban

It’s been almost three weeks since popular streamer, Herschel “DrDisrespect” Beahm, was permanently banned from Twitch, and internet sleuths have been hot on the trail ever since. With a severe lack of information from credible sources about what led to the ban, unchecked speculation has been allowed to run wild.

Thankfully, industry insider, Rod “Slasher” Breslau, provided some morsels of new information in an interview with Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker during a recent Just Chatting stream on July 13. While Slasher neglected to fully spill the beans, citing the need for “indemnity” from a publication, he did put one rumor to rest.

Doc isn’t moving to another platform such as YouTube, FaceBook, or Brime.

This zany rumor spawned because of the near-simultaneous timing of Doc’s ousting from Twitch, Ninja’s and shroud’s newly acquired free agency status, and the birth of the aforementioned Brime, a supposed new streaming service thought to compete with the likes of Twitch and YouTube.

A 4chan post coupled with the usual antics of internet troublemaker, Keemstar, suggested that Doc was banned because he was starting his own streaming service with Ninja and shroud. This would obviously breach Doc’s newly signed multi-million dollar contract with Twitch. There was only one problem.

Brime turned out to be nothing but a red herring.

“Things like Brime aren’t true,” Slasher clarified. “The whole Brime thing was literally just a joke from the people that made it and everyone because they went insane that very day, that not knowing what’s going on at all started following Brime,” Slasher added.
