G2 Esports adds Rekkles to roster for 2021 LEC season

Famed AD carry Martin “Rekkles” Larsson has joined G2 Esports ahead of the 2021 League of Legends European Championship (LEC) season.

G2 Esports announced the roster change today with a two-minute promotional video shared on Twitter.

During the video, Rekkles shared some insight into his reason for joining G2 Esports.

“My goal has always stayed the same: To stand on the biggest stage, at the biggest tournament lifting the biggest trophy,” Rekkles said.

“Maybe you thought I’d stay in FNATIC forever, but I’m ready for a new challenge and grateful for everything you’ve given me. I promised I would win Worlds. And I will.”

Rekkles leaves rival team Fnatic after almost eight years and 600 games with the renowned European organization.
