UFC fighter Sean O’Malley donates Fortnite tournament winnings to charity

Suspended UFC fighter Sean O’Malley has been keeping busy outside of the Octagon in 2019.

The 25-year-old mixed martial artist competed at the 2019 Fortnite NYC Pro-Am and finished in eighth place with teammate Jack “CouRage” Dunlop. On Monday, December 9, O’Malley donated all of his winnings ($27,500) to Raising Special Kids, a charity that provides support for special needs families in Arizona.

Sean O’Malley placed 8th in a Fortnite tournament and donated all of his winnings ($27,500) to the charity Raising Special Kids.

O’Malley has made a total of $74,000 of disclosed pay in his two UFC fights.

O’Malley’s popularity soared after his impressive victory on Dana White’s Contender Series in July 2017 that saw him earn a UFC contract. He secured two wins in the UFC before then being suspended from competition after a failed test for ostarine.

Having now been on the sidelines since March 2018, O’Malley has had ample time to stream Fortnite gameplay to his fans on Twitch. In an interview last year with MMA Fighting, O’Malley revealed that he was making “around $4,500 a month through gaming.”
