CoD devs act fast to disable overpowered “Snake Shot” attachment in Warzone

Raven Software, the development team behind Call of Duty: Warzone, has disabled the controversial “Snake Shot” ammunition attachment for the TYR Handgun in public playlists.

This decisive action follows mounting frustration within the Warzone community over the attachment’s overpowering nature, particularly in close-range combat.

The “Snake Shot” attachment, which transformed the TYR Handgun into a close-range powerhouse, was quickly identified as a major disruptor in the game’s balance. Players found that the combination of the Snake Shot ammo with the Akimbo attachment allowed the TYR to inflict massive damage, making it a dominant force in Warzone lobbies.

The dual-wielded TYRs were capable of downing fully plated players with just two bullets, an advantage that was deemed excessive by many players.

The community’s response to this unbalanced meta was swift and clear, with numerous calls for the attachment to be nerfed.

The developers at Raven Software acted promptly. In a statement released on their official Twitter account, they acknowledged the community’s concerns and the need for a balanced gameplay experience, leading to the temporary removal of the attachment.
